Social Branding: Banco dei Sospesi

“When someone in Naples is happy, instead of paying only for his own coffee, he pays for two, one for him and one for the next customer of the bar. It is like offering coffee to the rest of the world.” said Luciano De Crescenzo. The project Banco dei Sospesi has been created from the idea of the pending coffee (caffè sospeso), a digital wall where anyone could hang a movie or a theatre ticket, a seat for a football match or an experience for someone else.
Banco dei Sospesi is a platform that aims at being a meeting point between who offers something, buying an action for himself and a pending one for someone else, and the beneficiary. The goals are to generate new chances of active citizenship and to build a territorial network.



The visual identity of Banco dei Sospesi
The symbol of the wall/board is the pin, used to hang the notes that represents the pending actions.
The yellow dot, a metaphorically pin, represents the activities around the city of Turin.

The playful illustrations help the user to navigate through the website thanks to the use of colours and shapes created to be functional.
The surrealism-like style to make the contents and the actors easy to understand, while giving a huge relevance to the visual identity.
