The Fondazione Pistoletto Cittadellarte is a Biella-based organisation founded by the artist Michelangelo Pistoletto. It carries out numerous projects in different fields, from artistic events to social, political, educational, fashion and food initiatives. All this, according to the vision and principles developed by the founder.
Design and Development
The site’s graphic elements reflect Cittadellarte’s dual soul, as an institution and as an artistic product. This is evident in the juxtaposition of serif and sans serif fonts, as well as in the black typography, which contrasts with the vibrant yellow in a totally contemporary association. The development of Cittadellarte’s site began with an overall overhaul of the site’s layout, fundamental to building a pleasant navigation experience. The menu responds clearly and directly to the needs of all kinds of users and stakeholders, while presenting the reality of Cittadellarte with a clear hierarchy.
Several features and sections have been added that make it easier and more intuitive to find information and reflect the organisation’s structure. Among the additions are the calendar of events and pages dedicated to the Uffizi, the organisation’s operational hub. The mobile-first approach to layouts and animations also enables the site’s dynamism.
